Gina Caputo, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist at SunWise Family Dermatology & Surgery, LLC in Dover and Middletown, Delaware. Dr. Caputo loves all aspects of dermatology and is a self-proclaimed "Derm Nerd. She especially enjoys cosmetic dermatology, surgical dermatology, psoriasis, acne, and psychocutaneous medicine.

Dr. Caputo received her undergraduate degree from Temple University and her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. As Chief Resident, she completed her dermatology residency training at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital. Throughout her years of education, she has received numerous awards and scholarships exemplifying her knowledge and understanding of her studies. She has authored multiple research papers, given lectures on varying topics, has done professional commentary for a local radio station, and has also been featured in “Shape” magazine. She received a Top Woman in Medicine award in 2020 along with the Delaware Top Doctor Award in Dermatology.

She is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology, and the Delaware Academy of Dermatology. She served as President of the Delaware Academy of Dermatology in 2019/2020.      

Dr. Caputo has many passions in addition to dermatology and derives joy from serving others. She has gone on multiple mission trips to the Dominican Republic, volunteered and raced in order to raise funds for The National Brain Tumor Society, has led a church group at The Sunday Breakfast Mission feeding the homeless, and has been involved in animal welfare advocacy projects. Dr. Caputo is passionate about her faith, her family, and her little dog, Winston. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, cooking, painting, and watching true crime documentaries.
